The Clinton City Fire Department was formed in 1975 with a dozen spirited volunteers under the direction of Fire Chief Lloyd Brown. The department received two old fire engines (a 1944 Seagraves and a 1943 Chevrolet) from the Utah Forestry Service.

Today over 30 years later, the Clinton City Fire Department is manned 24 hours a day and is 32 Firefighters strong (24 Part-time and 8 Full Time). The Clinton City Fire Station located at 1906 West 1800 North in Clinton houses 1 “Quint” Ladder Truck (Smeal 2006), 1 “Engine” Class A Pumper (Smeal 1997), 1 Special / Technical Response Vehicle (Ford 1985), 1 Brush Truck (Ford 1997), and 3 Advanced Life Support (Intermediate) Ambulances.

At the present time, the Clinton Fire Station is manned 24 hours a day with a minimum manning of three personnel. On-call paid personnel assist with staffing requirements as needed. The Clinton City Fire Department takes great pride in its training and education programs providing at least two (2) medical drills and two (2) fire drills per month for its personnel.

The Department also provides First-Aid and CPR opportunities to its community members upon request.

Station personnel are always willing to facilitate with station tours, however, it is recommended to call and make appointments when possible.

The Clinton City Fire Department is currently establishing a city-wide CERT program in conjunction with the Citizen Corps Program.

The Fire Department and its members are more involved with its community than by merely responding to over 1200 emergency calls per year. Countless hours are spent at local activities and safety fairs, visits with local schools to teach the kids about fire safety. The Clinton Fire Department also participates in fund raises for organizations such as Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Currently all services are provided out of one main station located at 2153 North 1500 West Clinton, Utah.
