Recreational:
Outdoor Fire Pits
-       All burns are subject to the "clearing index" system approved and coordinated by the Utah State Department of Environmental Quality. Airshed 5 is for Clinton City and if the value is RED then burning is not recommended. Click here for index 
-       Not to be used on balconies and decks
-       Burning rubbish is prohibited.
-       Fire must be in an approved pit no larger than 3 feet across with a maximum flame height of 2 feet.
-       Fire extinguisher, hose, etc. must be readily available.
-       Fire pit must be 25 feet away from all buildings and combustibles.
-       Open burning that is considered offensive or objectionable due to smoke and odor emissions is prohibited.

RESTRICTIONS

-       No person shall burn any trash, garbage, or other waste or conduct any salvage operation by means of an open fire
-       All fires shall be kept a minimum of twenty five feet from any combustible buildings, fences, or structures.
-       Any fire deemed a nuisance or dangerous by the fire department will be extinguished immediately.
-       Adequate means to control and extinguish should be readily available at all times.
-       No fire shall be left unattended at any time.
-       All fires must be extinguished if wind exceeds 20 MPH
-       All fires will be extinguished at dark
-       No open burning in any subdivision
-       All fires must be supervised by an adult 18 or older.
 
REQUIREMENTS
-       The burning of stubble incident to horticultural or agricultural operations of a contiguous two acres or more of cultivated land
-       The controlled heating of orchards or other crops to lessen chances of freezing.
-       The burning of pruning’s from fruit trees when they come from an orchard of at least twenty five fruit trees
-       The burning of weed growth along fence lines on cultivated land, canals, or irrigation ditches
