How To Reserve a Park Bowery
Clinton City has 6 boweries (2 at Clinton City Park, 1 at Veterans Park, 1 at Meadows Park, 1 at West Clinton Park and 1 at
Heritage Park) that may be reserved for various activities. Reservations for any of these boweries are taken at the Recreation
Department 1651 W 2300 N beginning the first working day of the calendar year for that year. You must
reserve facilities in person, sign a contract and leave payment.
BOWERY RENTAL
Bowery Rental price is $30 for up to 5 hours.

Youth Spring & Summer Classes
February
FISHING CLUB
Sign up in February. Participants ages 6 to 13 join a large group of volunteers
who teach all of the skills of fishing at our pond park. Classes run once a week
during April and May and meet for two hours.

KIDS IN THE PARK
This program is offered during the summer for children between the ages of 5 and
12. Children are involved with creative activities such as arts and crafts, music,
hiking, nature walks, sports and games as well as weekly field trips. The program
meets throughout the summer Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
SUMMER DANCE LESSONS
Sign up is in May. The recreation department will team up with Head Over Heels Tumbling to offer youth dance lessons during the summer months.
START SMART
Sports Readiness Program for 4-year olds (must be 4 by August 31st)
Start Smart is designed to help young children develop basic motor skills,
competence and confidence so they can take the next step into organized
sports. This program meets twice a week for 3 weeks in June.
GOLF LESSONS
Each summer we partner with Schneiter's Bluff Golf Course to offer golf lessons
for boys and girls ages 7 to 16. Participants are bussed to the golf course each
Wednesday for a 75 minute lesson. This 4 week program begins in June and runs
through the first part of July.
TENNIS LESSONS
Tennis Lessons are offered in two-week sessions (Monday thru Friday) during
the month of June for boys and girls ages 7-16. Lessons are held at the Clinton
City Park tennis courts and there are sessions for beginners, intermediate and
advanced.
SWIMMING LESSONS
Swimming lessons for boys and girls 8 years of age and older are held every
Friday for 8 weeks throughout the summer. Participants are picked up and
bussed to the Clearfield swimming pool for a one-hour lesson.
TUMBLING LESSONS
The recreation department partners with Head Over Hills Tumbling to offer tumbling classes for boys and girls ages 6 to 16. Watch for the summer brochure to identify dates and times.

Adult Softball Leagues
SUMMER SOFTBALL LEAGUES
The recreation department offers ASA sanctioned softball leagues
for men's, coed and women's teams at all levels of play. Team registration is taken beginning in March
and the season runs mid May through mid August. Teams are guaranteed 9 games
and a double elimination tournament.
FALL SOFTBALL LEAGUES
Fall Leagues run the first part of September through the end of October and
teams are guaranteed 7 games and a single elimination tournament.

Youth Recreation Sports
FEB SPRING YOUTH SOCCER
Leagues are offered for Pre K-6th grade boys and girls. Registration runs thru
the month of February and the playing season runs mid March thru May. Each
player receives a jersey, shorts, socks, and league play.
MAR YOUTH BASEBALUSOFTBALL
Registration begins in March for the summer youth baseball/softball program.
Recreational leagues are available for Kindergarten through 10th grade for boys
and girls. Players receive shirt, hat, trophy and league play. Practices begin the
end of April and games run mid May thru early July.
MAR ROOKIE LEAGUE
The Rookie Pre T-ball program is designed to help young children
develop basic baseball skills, competence and confidence so they can
take the next step into an organized sports team. Child must be 5 as of
August 31st and going into Kindergarten in the fall. This is a 5-week
program and includes shirt, hat and program instruction.
JUL CONTACT FOOTBALL
Sign-ups run thru the month of July for the WFFL little league football
program. Age and weight restrictions apply. However, programs are
available for girls and boys ages 7 (if they meet minimum weight )
through 15 years (cannot be entering their sophomore year).
JUL FALL YOUTH SOCCER
Leagues are offered for Preschool-6th grade boys and girls. Registration runs
thru the month of July and the playing season runs mid August thru October.
Each player receives a jersey, shorts, socks, and league play.
OCT JR. JAZZ BASKETBALL
Registration for this little league basketball program run through the month of
October and is open to all youth 1st-10th grades. Practices begin in December
and games run January through February. League fees include; jersey, two
tickets to a Utah Jazz game and a Utah Jazz player appearance.

Youth Competitive Leagues
ASA ACCELERATED SOFTBALL LEAGUES
Competitive softball leagues are available for girls 14 &
under and 12 & Under. Registrations are taken thru the
month of February and games are played the first of April
thru mid May. Teams register as full teams.
COMPETITIVE BASEBALL LEAGUES
Competitive baseball leagues are available for boys 5th/6th grade, 7th-9th grade
& 10th-12th grade. Registrations are taken thru the month of April and teams
register as full teams. Fees include 9 games plus a tournament, umpires, game
balls, awards & supervision.

Employment Opportunities
RECREATION DEPARTMENT
In addition to providing programs for youth to
participate in, the Clinton City Recreation
Department is proud of our ongoing training and
employment opportunities for youth as well.
Applications are accepted in February and
March for our spring and summer programs and
in September for our winter Jr Jazz Basketball
program. Application packets can be picked up
at the Recreation Office and applicants must be
14 years of age and have a general knowledge
of the sport or program they are applying for.

PARKS DEPARTMENT
The Parks Deparment accepts applications for summer seasonal and part-time positions
beginning in February and March. Applicants must be 16 years of age and
have a valid, Utah Drivers License. Most positions begin following
the end of the school year and include activities such as mowing
lawns, prepping ball fields, building and maintaining park areas
