Clinton City Government

Clinton City is a fourth class city and has a five member council form of government, with an elected mayor and five city council members. Administration is carried out by an appointed city manager. Planning commissioners, board of adjustment members and other committee members are also appointed.

The mayor and council are elected to four-year, non-partisan staggered terms.

Citizens are welcome to review the city code, minutes of city meetings, and talk to city officials about current or upcoming issues. Citizens are always welcome to attend public meetings. The agendas for upcoming meetings are usually posted at the city offices on Fridays, posted on the City website, and also on the State’s web site at www.utah.gov/pmn/index.html. Public hearings are listed in the legal section of the Standard Examiner and a public notice is posted on any property which will be affected by a zoning change. The city publishes a monthly newsletter which is mailed to all homes in the community and is available on the website as well.
